Elementary SERIES 2: Failure isn't Fatal

June 7 - July 26

When there are times in our life where we experience the consequence of our poor choices or actions, let us not spiral into the thought that God can’t use us and there’s no hope for restoration. Let us draw strength from God’s word, where He tells the stories of heroes of the faith who have blown it. In some cases, really badly.
But God is all about redemption. So when we fail, we can be thankful that God loves a good comeback story.
Paul reminds us that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose.” (Rom. 8:28) This should give us hope that no matter what we may have done, our adventure isn’t over. God’s at work reclaiming our story.

Thomas' doubts

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Matt. 26:34–35; Mk. 14:66-72;Lk. 24:34, 1 Cor. 15:5;  Jn. 21:15–17; Acts 2:14-36

Peter's Denial

22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know

Paul's conversion

1 Tim 1:16  Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

Mark’s desertion

11...These are the only Jews among my co-workers for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me.

Elementary SERIES 3: Seeking Father

Aug 2 - Aug 26

God is the seeking father who came to seek and to save the lost. We find God as the seeking father throughout the Bible. However, the seeking father is very beautifully illustrated in Luke 15 with the story of the Seeking Shepherd, the seeking woman for the lost coin, and the seeking father for his lost son. The theme of the seeking father is then illustrated in Luke 19, where Jesus went seeking after Zacchaeus. In this series, we are going to teach on the heart of the seeking Father

Creation

Genesis 1,2

We will step through the story of creation and see the heart of God as seeking after man when he sinned in the Garden of Eden where God created him.

God Seeking Abraham

Genesis 11,12

God seeking Abraham. Abraham was living in his father's house when God went seeking after Abraham. Abraham was asked to come out of his father's house to the land God would show him. God said God would bless him with land, child, and a nation . God was seeking Abraham to bless him and bless the world through him. God is seeking you today like he was seeking Abraham. If we give yourself to God, he will bless us and use us for his glory.

Jesus - The Greatest Gift

Luke 1

Jesus the greatest gift. Jesus came to this world. Jesus is the greatest gift God sent into this world. We will be talking about the birth narrative  explaining the heart of the seeking father

The Miracles of Jesus

We can find the seeking heart of God in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Jesus ministered for about 3 years in this world. During His ministry, Jesus went seeking after sinners and tax collectors to bring them into God’s Kingdom. The society hated them but Jesus went seeking after them. Jesus also went seeking after the poor and needy in the society. Jesus once multiplied bread and fish when people were hungry. Jesus went seeking after a man who was possessed with demons and healed him. Jesus once went seeking after a widow in Nain whose son had been dead. Jesus rose her son from the dead.

Jesus Died to Save Us

Luke 27

Jesus died to save us. God is seeking you today. If you give yourself to God, he will bless you and use you for his glory.
